Perry Creek Trail

Great trail!

June, 2023 by allyn.dana

Paved and well maintained trail that follows Perry Creek from down by Hard Rock Hotel, and goes all the way to Outer Drive. From there you can take Outer Drive and connect to Floyd River trail if desired.

Union Bridge Trail

awesome

July, 2022 by allyn.dana

We ride this trail often. It starts at Little Sioux Park or there is a small parking lot in Correctionville. It isn’t a long trail but you go over the original rail Union Bridge over the river and around a lake and alongside the river in spots. It’s just a lovely interesting ride. They are currently working on the lake area.

Omaha Riverfront Trail

Disappointing

October, 2021 by thejake91739

After starting from the Lewis and Clark National Historic Headquarters and Visitor Center, we bicycled across the awesome Bob Kerrey Pedestrian Bridge, rode the Iowa Riverfront Trail, and then crossed back to ride the Omaha Riverfront Trail.
I'm sorry to say it was less than impressive. We traveled from Southern California to experience the bridge and bike trails on both sides of the Old Muddy, and Omaha really let us down. There were some great views of the Bob Kerrey Pedestrian Bridge and the mighty Missouri River, but due to construction the downriver portion of the trail past the Lewis and Clark center was closed off!
Heading upriver was just as disappointing. After a mile or so the trail just comes to an end at a restaurant parking lot. We were tempted to ride through the parking lot, get on Abbott Drive to find where the trail eventually resumes, but these two senior citizens didn't particularly want to share the road with two ton vehicles whizzing past us.
OMAHA: We look forward to coming back when all of three sections of your Riverfront Trail are a connected Class IV Bikeway and construction free!

Le Mars Recreational Trail

Le Mars Recreational Trail

September, 2021 by allyn.dana

This is a nice paved trail with a variety from fields to ball fields to more residential areas to city parks. It isn’t super well marked so having this app helped tremendously. The trail actually extends past 24th to C38 so if you go to the end it’s actually a little longer than stated. Worth the ride!

The River front trail is nice you can travel from South end to North end with only one area not developed by the new expo center. Hopefully the city finishes it soon. Singing Hills Blvd all the way to North Sioux City

Pleasant Valley Trail

Nice flowing trail

This is a nice, almost completely paved trail through the town. Benches are placed along the trail. This is a flowing trail with flat areas and hills.

Dakota Dunes Trail

See 3 States during the walk

March, 2021 by kr87kqjxdj

You walk/ride to the southeast corner of South Dakota. During the walk you will see Iowa on the other side of the Big Sioux River and Nebraska on the other side of the Missouri River. Walk this a few times a week, see deer, very well maintained, shale covered.

Chautauqua Park Trail

Beautiful trial

October, 2020 by mara.jorgensen

Beautiful fall day on this trail today! Although it isn’t finished on the north end, it is wide, clean, and easy to find for a nature walk.

Omaha Riverfront Trail

Northen Trail Poorly Maintained

August, 2020 by 83bxyq2g6v

Road the section of this trail that starts north of NP Dodge Park and was disappointed. Too much of the "trail" is simply a paved area directly adjunct to the road, so you're biking with cars and motorcycles during a good portion of the trip. And when you're not on the road you're on an overgrown, somewhat dystopian-looking path adjacent to corn fields and farm driveways marked with "Trespassers will be Shot" signs. Not fun.

Floyd River Trail

great trail!

Great trail and a fun ride! I would definitely recommend! Nice and peaceful, hardly anyone else was on it!

Adams Homestead and Nature Preserve Trail

Lots of wildlife

June, 2020 by aparrott58

If you are in the area on business or pleasure, this trail is worth it. We started at the nice visitor center where there is plenty of parking. The trail is crushed gravel and wide enough for side by side riding. We saw lots of wildlife, including turkeys (over 2 dozen), waterfowl, garter snakes and doe/fawns (still in spots). In addition, the closer you get to the big river, there are a number of old growth cottonwood groves w/ some of the largest cottonwoods we have seen. There are a couple of viewing platforms near the river and the trail has curves and some short hills. Just a nice evening ride. Also, ride in a figure eight to add more miles and see the groves twice!
